AUS200 (AUS200^)

The AUS 200, or S&P/ASX 200 (Standard & Poor’s Australian Securities Exchange), ranks its 200 constituents relative to their total value in the market, worked out by multiplying total tradable shares by the price of shares, meaning the index is market capitalisation-weighted index.

A recent index, launched in March of the year 2000, eligibility is based on a combination of liquidity, market capitalisation, and listing, with all trading volumes staying above 0.025% of the trading volume of all eligible securities. Stocks must also be listed on the Australian Stock Exchange.

Companies in index: Australian Worldwide Exploration, BHP Billiton Limited, Coca-Cola Amaril, Spark Infrastructure.
