UK100 (UK100^)

The FTSE 100 index (or “footsie”, colloquially) lists the 100 companies with the most market capitalisation on the London Stock Exchange.

The index began with a base level of 1,000 points in 1984, reaching its highest point of 7902.77 in May 2018.

The FTSE group, which operates the FTSE 100, is co-owned by the Financial Times and the London Stock Exchange.

Companies on list: BP, HSBC, Royal Dutch Shell, Vodafone Group.
